THE MICROCLIMATE is a local set of atmospheric conditions that differ from those of the surrounding area. The term may refer to areas as small as a few square meters or square feet: an URBAN ISLAND. The UI is a SPACE OR REGION area that is significantly warmer/cooler than its surrounding. The temperature difference usually is larger at night than during the day, and is most apparent when WINDS are weak. UI is most noticeable during the SUMMER and WINTER. Two main parameters to define a microclimate within a certain area are temperature and humidity. THE PLANT are the first tangible sign of a MICROCLIMATE; not only climate influences the living plants: plants can interact with their environment: PLANT CLIMATE. The aim of the CONDENSATION CUBE, focus on natural processes such as condensation and evaporation also in VERTICAL creating a CONDENSATION TOWER. The box has a constantly but slowly changing appearance that never repeats itself. The conditions are comparable to a living organism that reacts in a flexible manner to its surroundings. The image of condensation cannot be precisely predicted. It is changing freely, bound only by statistical limits. Is like the FREEDOM.
THE SEMI-TEMPERATE space, is a special location in-between two membranes, which could be transformed through the INTERACTION of the adjacent spaces. With the connection of two films, it is highly flexible and transformable, with the possibility to expand in the space and in time.
“ If wind blows into a light piece of material, it flutters like a flag or The direction of the stream of air, as well as its intensity, determines the movements. None of these movements is without an influence from all the others. A common pulse goes through the membrane.” (Glahn 148-150) If therefore the change in size is dependent on external conditions, an infinite number of variations is created, giving rise to new spaces. The wind -in this case- aquires thr role of main actor, in the delineation of the surrounding. There is no more the delineation between an INSIDE and an OUTSIDE,artificial becomes natural, and natural becomes artificial. A dichotomous synergy.
